Chuck Brown — chief judge, USA

Chuck Brown is a current Champion level competitor with over 18 years of experience. He is recognized as a top international instructor, NASDE Circuit and US Open judge, DJ, event promoter and dance business consultant. Chuck has won numerous national competitions and awards, including placing at the U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships several times and making the Champions Division J&J finals at SwingDiego.

Chuck is known for his musicality, creativity, versatility, and especially, his amazing lead on the dance floor. It has been said by many of the top pros, that Chuck is one of the best social dancers in all of West Coast Swing. His dance training includes West Coast Swing, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, Blues, Carolina Shag, Lindy Hop, Salsa, Bachata, House, Country and African.

Chuck’s teaching methods have produced some of the fastest moving and successful competitors and dancers in the Unites States as well as Internationally. He has taught all over the globe, including Australia, Sweden, France, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Russia, New Zealand, Germany, the USA and many more. He is an incredibly passionate and tough teacher who cares deeply about his student’s dance goals as well as their friendship; it’s evident in his workshops and private lessons.

He is the owner and event director for the San Francisco Dance Sensation, The After Party, and Hawaii Dance Sensation. He also consults many other events such as the French Open, Bavarian Open, Rock the Barn, and the Asian WCS Open. He is currently based between Bend, Oregon and Singapore.

Diego Borges & Jessica Pacheco, Brazil

Diego and Jessica has been spreading West Coast Swing in Brazil and around the world since 2009, when they began to put all its charm to its first steps in the WCS. As a couple they have won multiple titles in Strictly Swing, Jack & Jill and, Showcase and they currently hold 2nd place at the 2015 US Open Swing and 1st place at the 2016 MadJam and 2016 Chicago Classic over the Showcase category.

In 2011 Diego was nominated for the award for best foreign WCS Dancer (USA) and joined the team of choreographers and teachers on "Dance with Stars – Brazilian version", in the Domingão Faustão program.

Diego and Jessica have also been putting a lot of effort into developing and spreading ZOUK. Since 2014, the couple have been promoting The Brazilian Open Championships and are the creators of the West Coast Swing Day free event with the goal to spread WCS in Brazil and worldwide.

Glenn Ball, GB & Patty Wo, USA

Glenn Ball and Patty Vo partnered just under a year ago with the goal of creating a routine that would fuse their two styles together and inspire others to find a creative new way to Swing and Choreograph routines. They were placed 4th at Swing Diego and 3rd at the US Open in the Showcase Division. They combine Glenn’s vast knowledge of Street / Hip-Hop style and Patty’s WCS concepts to fuse a new way to Swing and think about Swing. They are known for focusing on many of the most complicated concepts in WCS, and finding ways to simplify them, making them easier to understand and apply.

Prior to WCS, Glenn enjoyed a lengthy career in the ‘backing dancer’ world. Dancing and appearing in campaigns for Pop industry giants such as Mariah Carey, Kylie Minogue, Lionel Richie, Take That, Jennifer Lopez, Scissor Sisters, Ne-yo, Taylor Swift and many more.

Separately, they have consistently placed/won in Jack & Jill and Strictly Swing divisions at competitions such as Swing Diego and the US Open Swing Dance Championships.

Joelle & Bret, USA / France

Originating from opposite sides of the world (USA/France), Bret and Joëlle Navarre found each other through dance, and quickly realized they belonged together. Ever since, they have been traveling the world teaching, competing, performing, judging, and spreading West Coast Swing. They bring their own style to the dance floor, coming from a fusion of Bret's background in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Latin, and Ballroom, mixed with Joëlle's skills from Hip Hop, Belly Dance, Salsa, and Afro-Caribbean Dances. Between the both of them, they combine over 25 years of experience dancing and teaching.

They are mostly recognized for their pedagogy, focusing on making their students understand the techniques and mechanisms involved in West Coast Swing, while maintaining a fun and welcoming learning atmosphere!

Daric Lion and Anastasia Lokshina, Switzerland / Russia

Daric was born and grew up in Lausanne, Switzerland. He dances more than 20 years and used to dance Latin ballroom, salsa, bachata, Argentine tango, tap dance, jazz-funk and now he has two main passions: Discofox, West Coast Swing.

Nastia was born and grew up in Moscow, Russia. Now she lives in Lausanne, Switzerland. She went through gymnastics classes, tries out ballroom dance but her only real passion was found when she was 20 years old: Hustle / Discofox and later West Coast Swing.

Their goal is to make the Discofox and WCS community grow with the “emotional” aspect strongly represented. Through the music, through the partner, and using technic as foundation… open to new concept, yes, but keeping the nature of the dance. Their teaching experience is of more than 10 years. To date, Daric and Anastasia are giving West Coast swing and Discofox workshops all around the world. They are also active social dancers, competitors and judges.

Semion Ovsiannikov & Maria Elizarova, Russia

Semion has been dancing since the age of 8. He became an Intermediate-level dancer of WCS very fast. He won every Intermediate Level competition that he entered, becoming at that time, Russia’s 3rd Advanced level leader. Since moving to all-stars division, he’s continued to have competition success. His latest achievements are taking first place in the All-Stars J&J at both Swing&Snow 2016 (Saint-Petersburg, Rusia) and the Russian Open WCS Championships 2016 ( Moscow, Russia), third place in the Open Strictly at the US Open. He is known for his musicality and great connection with his partners.

Maria has been dancing since 2007. In 2008 she fell in love with social partner dances. She started learning hustle/discofox and salsa. She had been dancing hustle and discofox for 4 years, working on her solo choreography as well when West Coast Swing came in to her dancing life. After that she couldn't stop dancing WCS. She enjoys the versatility of the dance, bringing new emotions, options for musicality and styling to every dance.

Together Maria and Semion won the Open Strictly division at Budafest in both 2014 and 2015, the Open Strictly division at The After Party (San Diego, USA).

Their partnership emphasizes musicality and connection. They love the possibilities for communication and dialogue between partners during every dance, and seek to help their students discover this incredibly fun aspect of WCS. They share a philosophy that care and attention are the best things partners can give to each other during any dance.

Nataliya Kharlanova, Ukraine

Is a teacher of social dances, producer of shows, organizer of the international dance festivals “KIWI-fest” and “Winter fest WCS & Zouk”, “DanceEVOLution”, “KIWIcamp” etc.

Since 2011 she is the leading teacher of West Coast Swing in Ukraine.
In 2014 she became an international instructor and coach in WCS.
Natasha is the founder of the Kiev school of “West coast Swing in UA”.
In 2014 she became a European champion in the spin rotation (61 rotation).
In 2015 she made finals in the category All-star Strictly (USA, Washington).
In November 2015 she won 3rd at US Open WCS Championship in Strictly Open.
In 2016 Natasha was placed 2nd at the WCS Classic routines (“West in Lyon”) – France.

Natalia is an active allstar dancer, judge of international competitions, teacher in Ukraine and Europe. Besides WCS she has a wide experience in Salsa, Tango, Brazilian Zouk.

Alexandr Kharin & Olga Malafeevskaya, Russia

It's already more than 10 years ago when Alexander started dancing. His beginning was in dancing hustle, salsa and bachata. He discovered for himself the world of West Coast Swing in 2010. Actively attending regular classes in Moscow, international workshops, taking private lessons Alexander reached Advance level by international system WSDC.

Since 2013 Alexander teaches regular WCS groups in Moscow and gives workshops in other Russian cities. He works with beginners as well as with Novice and Intermediate dancers.

Together with teaching, he continues his own skills growth as dancer and teacher attending different workshops of international Champions and also he continues competing successful in Russia and abroad.

Olga is a dancer of level All Stars by International WSDC system (WCS). Her dance career began in 2007 with studying hustle/discofox. Along with training in social dancing, Olga has also trained in choreography, jazz-funk and partner improvisation. Year 2010 marked Olga’s introduction into the world of West Coast Swing.

Olga teaches regular classes in Moscow; she has vast experience in teaching workshops across all of Russia as well as abroad. She is an active participant and pacemaker in the life of Moscow and Russian WCS-community.

Olga travels a lot and continues her studies of WCS at international events. She is a many-time winner and finalist of various international competitions in JnJ, Rising Stars and Strictly divisions.

In partner dancing Olga values interaction and dialogue within the couple, listening carefully to music and to each other, being emotional, sincere and free.

Arthur Radzikhovskiy, Russia

Arthur Radzikhovskiy — dancer, emcee, as well as a charismatic teacher of WCS, Lindy Hop and Salsa.

Arthur is actively involved in dance for more than 8 years. He holds master classes in many Russian cities. Arthur dedicates a lot of time popularizing the social swing dances. He is the founder of a dance club and a summer dance camp "Americano", the founder of "Dance Fair" in Samara (social project to attract people to the dance).

Arthur three-time vice champion of the Samara region salsa, constant participant, finalist and winner of both Russian and international WCS events. Arthur is an Advanced WCS dancer according to WSDC.
